download the add-in program Analysis ToolPak in Microsoft® Excel®.
This add-in is required for generating the histogram data. Information on
adding and using the Analysis ToolPak can be found using the Help feature in
Microsoft® Excel®.
Use the histogram to determine how many points
are out of control according to the historical upper control limit and
historical lower control limit
To be clear there are 5
things required:
1) Calculate
the sample mean
2) Calculate
the sample std deviation
3) Make a histogram
of the sample data
4) State how
many of the sample points are outside of the historical UCL.
5) State how
many of the sample points are outside of the historical LCL.
Note
that the historical UCL and LCL are assumed to be the same as the specification
limits in this case.
